This Halloween take the kids somewhere safe, inviting, friendly and fun where they can experience Plano, Texas’ fall festivities and take in everything the holiday has to offer. Multiple events take places in and around the Plano area leading up to and including Halloween. Check out some these safe, organized and fun events in your area this Halloween season.

Prestonwood Baptist Fall Festival: The church is taking a new approach to Halloween this year by asking families to take part in a special “Light the Night” event to encourage community outreach and create a safe welcoming space to enjoy all the festivities. Learn about Prestonwood Baptist Church and their mission to integrate themselves within the Plano community as families welcome you to their front lawns with games, prizes, favors, tracts and invitations to the church.

Preston Trails Farms: The tradition continues this year as the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm is back. On Halloween afternoon come by the farm, located in Gunter, before or after some trick or treating for a wide of variety of fall themed activities for the kids. The farm features lots for your kids to do including a hay maze, pumpkin patch, roping pen, petting barn and hayrides.

Elves Pumpkin Patch: Description: A true feeling of fall at Elves Farms where they bring in more than 80,000 pounds of pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn and specialty pumpkins for their customers every year. This Denison pumpkin patch also includes hayrides, a farm zoo, hay jump and their popular dress your own scarecrow station. Halloween afternoon kids can enjoy farm tours, snacks, drinks, gifts, arts and crafts. The kids will want to come back every year.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch: Located at Double Oak Ranch in Flower Mound, this pumpkin patch has free activities and games as well as a wide variety of pumpkins. With Free admission, Halloween can be fun for any budget, with the pumpkin patch providing a nice autumn backdrop for some Halloween fun. The Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch, besides the hundreds of pumpkins to choose from, also has cornstalks, hay bales, baked goods, and refreshments for the entire family.

Dallas Arboretum Great Autumn Pumpkin Festival: Dubbed as Dallas’ favorite fall tradition, the Autumn Pumpkin Festival at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, is a world class fall festival that draws thousands each year during the October and November months. This year’s theme for the festival is The Wonderful World of Oz featuring 4,500 flower-Chrysanthemums, along with 150,000 types of fall plants, and the acclaimed Pumpkin Village, featuring more than 90,000 pumpkins, squash and gourds. Kids can also take advantage of the outstanding Children’s Adventure Garden. On October 28 and 29, families enjoy a weekend long full of fall festivities and activities that include trick-or-treating throughout the garden, face painting, a petting zoo, and a magician in Pecan Grove.
